Baklava is one the sweet which i wanted to try for so many years..The first time which i heard about this sweet is from a cooking show and i almost drooled over it, it looked so delicious you can never resist it..From that day onwards i wanted to try it so badly.
Check out the world famous Baklava Recipe too..
The first step in baklava making is to get the phyllo pastry. Sadly that is not available in my place. So i was looking for a perfect recipe to make that. Finally i got this recipe and it works like a charm. The key for perfect phyllo pastry is to roll it as thin as possible.
This pastry is a universal recipe, you can use that for making so many desert and even springrolls, i had few sheets leftover from this recipe and i made a delicious chilli cheese springrolls and it turned out wonderful..Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..
Preparation Time : 35 to 40 mins
Makes : 32 Sheets
All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1.5 cup / 180 grams + extra

Oil - 1 tsp
Hot Water as needed
Take flour, oil, vinegar in a bowl. Mix well.
Pour in hot water and knead it to a firm dough. Divide it into 32 equal balls.
Take one ball and roll it out thinly. I rolled it roughly around 15 cm to fit my 15 cm baking pan. you can roll it to fit your baking pan.
Place it in a plate which is dusted heavily with flour between each sheets.
Cover the sheets with damp cloth and set aside.
