    Potato Cheese Balls Recipe with step by step pictures. Easy snack made with potatoes and cheese for kids. Perfect snack to serve with some tomato ketchup.

     

    Potato Cheese Balls Recipe

    Now let's talk something about these cheesy balls. These are so versatile and comes handy whenever you need..When you are planning to do this, try to make it in double batches. You can have half of that instantly and half you freeze.Take these balls and arrange it in a tray, put the tray in the freezer for 30 mins until they the balls get a little firm. Now transfer this to a ziplock bag and freeze it for later use.

    Now you have a handy snack whenever you have a cheesy cravings. I can assure you that this will become the favourite snack for your kids. I hope you will try this out and tell me how it turned out.

    How to Make Potato Cheese Balls Recipe

    Make Filling

    Heat oil in a kadai. Add in spring onion and peas and Saute for a min. Add in tomato ketchup , salt and pepper to taste and mix well. In goes potatoes and mix well. Allow this to cool down. Divide this into equal portions. Take one ball and stuff it with small piece of cheese in the centre and cover from all sides. Do the same to every balls.

    Making potato cheese balls

    Mix cornflour with some water to form a thin liquid. Take breadcrumbs in a plate and set aside. Now take the cheese stuffed ball and dip them in cornflour liquid and then roll them tightly in breadcrumbs. Do the same to every balls.

    Frying potato cheese balls

    Now heat oil for deep frying and fry these balls till golden brown. Drain in a paper towel and serve with ketchup.

    Ingredients

    • Potatoes - 3 large boiled and mashed
    • Peas - ½ cup I used Frozen
    • Spring Onion - 1 chopped
    • Tomato Ketchup - 1 tblspn
    • Salt to taste
    • Pepper Powder to taste
    • CornFlour / CornStarch - 2 tblsp
    • Breadcrumbs - 1 cup
    • Mozzarella Cheese - as needed cut into small cubes
    • Oil for Deep Frying + 1 tsp

    Instructions

    Potato Cheese Balls Recipe Step by Step Pictures

    Take all your ingredients

     

     
     
     
    Mash your potatoes
     
    Heat oil. Add in spring onions
     
     
    Add in peas, now add a dash of ketchup
    and some salt and pepper
     
     
    add in potatoes
    and mix well
    shape into balls

     

    time to assemble
    add a piece of cheese in the centre
    and shape into balls
    now dip in cornflour water
    and roll it in breadcrumbs
    till completely rolled
    All done
    Fry this in oil
    till golden..
    Drain it and serve
    with some ketchup..

      Please can you tell me half of the batch that I have frozen, can I cook these straight out of the freezer, or do I have to defrost them before I cook them???

      I tried this since it looked very tempting..but I was so disappointed..when the balls started to brown and cheese melted the balls broke and everything came out. 🙁

      @Aneesha VI think your potato mixture must be not firm enough or you must have fried the balls in oil before the oil was hot enough

      @Ambika BeriFirst freeze it individually till frozen, then put it in a container and use..You can wrap it in cling film and freeze
