    Pro Tips

How do I make my cookies softer?

Use more brown sugar. Brown sugar is hygroscopic, which means it takes in and retains moisture, more so than granulated sugar. Never oven bake cookies.

Why did my cookies turn out hard?

To prevent cookies from becoming hard and tough, avoid adding more flour than necessary to the cookie dough or batter. Also, avoid overmixing once the flour is added.

The dough will keep in the fridge for 3-4 days, or in the freezer for 3 months. Form into a 2-3-inch log and tightly wrap in two or three layers of plastic, or in one layer inside a freezer bag. Whenever you want, warm from the oven cookies, just slice into ½-inch discs and bake until browned and fragrant.

You will love these cookies too.
