How to Make Icing sugar / How to Make Powdered Sugar / How to Make Confectioners Sugar at Home.

Making this at home is really easy. All you need is sugar and cornflour. This icing sugar is used in frosting and icing recipes because of its super fine texture. The sugar has to be powdery which then gives you the creamy texture to frosting. Adding cornstarch in this gives some body to the sugar and makes it more creamy when added into frosting.

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Makes: 1 cup

Ingredients:

Granulated Sugar - 1 cup
Corn Flour / Cornstarch - 1 tablespoon

Method:

Take both of them in a blender and blend for 3 to 4 mins till it is powdered really really finely.

Now take them in a fine sieve and sift well.

Store it in a air tight container.

  2. The icing we use for Christmas cookies every year is very similar. just substitute lemon extract for the vanilla and add a few festive food coloring. Used this approach as I had ran out of icing sugar. i like including a sprint of cinnamon to sugar icing for pumpkin scones.I am currently working as best essay writing service provider, I love cooking.. keep posting like this.
