Baked Chicken Samosa Recipe – Baked Samosa Recipe

Samosa is one of my all time favourite snack. It is recently i discovered readymade frozen samosa sheets and i am love with it. you just make filling for the samosa and stuff them in this and fry them or bake them. So easy..I have already shared few samosa recipes in my blog…If you cannot find readymade samosa patti, you can make it on your own, refer this post..

Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..
Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 25 to 35 mins
Baking Time : 20 to 30 mins
Makes: 30 samosa

Ingredients:

Samosa Sheets / Samosa Patti- 25 to 30 
Oil or Butter for brushing over samosa
All Purpose Flour / Maida – 3 tblspn
Water – 3 tblspn


For Keema Filling:
Oil – 2 tblspn
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam – 1.5 tsp
Onion – 1 large chopped finely
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tblspn
Green Chillies – 2 chopped finely
Tomatoes – 2 large chopped finely or pureed
Green Peas – 1.5 cup ( I used frozen)
Minced Chicken – 500 grams
Chilli powder – 2 tsp
Coriander Powder / Malli Podi – 1.5 tblspn
Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi  – 1 tsp
Cumin Powder / Jeera Powder – 1.5 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves a handful finely chopped
Water if needed
Method:
Heat oil in a pan, add in cumin and let it sizzle.
Add in onions, chillies and salt. Saute till golden.
Add in ginger garlic paste and cook for couple of mins.
Add in spice powders and mix well.

Add in tomatoes and cook till mushy.
Add in chicken and keep frying to break them up.

Now cook this for 8 to 10 mins till chicken is done.
Now add in peas and cook for couple of mins.
Add in coriander leaves and mix well..Set aside.

Now take your samosa sheets. Spoon some filling in and fold it like samosa.

Seal the end with a flour paste. Arrange this in a parchment lined baking tray and oil it well on both sides.

Now bake this for 20 to 30 mins, flip it over inbetween. 

Remove it when golden, serve hot.

Take all your ingredients..First lets make the filling
Heat little oil in a pan, add in cumin seeds
let them sizzle
add in chopped onions and chillies
season with salt
mix well
add in some ginger garlic paste
mix that well
now add in all the spice powders
mix well
add in tomato puree..You can add chopped tomatoes as well
cook till oil leaves the sides
add in minced chicken or chicken keema
stir that with the masala
you have to cook this till chicken is done..
It will take around 8 to 10 mins..
I made it dry, if you want gravy, add little water at this stage
now add in peas
toss well and cook for few more mins..
Add coriander leaves and mix well..Filling done

Now take your samosa patti
Mix flour with water to form a thick paste
Take a sheet of patti
Spoon filling
fold it like this
now fold it back like this
keep folding it
once your reach the end
apply some paste
seal it well
Arrange it in a oiled baking sheet
Brush both sides of the samosa with oil or butter
Lets bake them
While baking, flip it over half way through and bake again
Serve with green chutney
