The original recipe had some white chocolate chips added along with the almonds and some dark chocolate chips folded into the top chocolate brownie batter and spooned over top which makes it more taste. But I kept it plain and simple, because i wanted to taste the salty caramel here.

    About Caramel Brownies

Brownie is one of the most loved desserts in the world. Brownies were introduced in the United States in the 19th century. Looking back at the history and origin of brownie, it was created by accident when a baker forgot to add the baking powder to the chocolate cake recipe. Instead of rising, it stayed flat but it turned into super moist, gooey and chocolaty. They sliced, enjoyed and that mistake turned into brownie. Over time, the brownie recipe is modified with various flavours like caramel brownie, cheesecake brownie, nutella brownie, choco chip brownie, oreo brownie.

Caramel brownie is a chocolate caramel dessert heaven, which is so simple to make and tastes absolutely delicious. The brownie recipes use instant coffee powder, maida, eggs, salted caramel sauce, nuts, butter and sugar which are mixed together in a bowl and then baked. It doesn't require any special equipment or tools. Check my eggless brownies.

Nothing can beat this classic combination of caramel and chocolate, they are made for each other. This caramel brownie is a magic where rich, decadent chocolate flavour meets with the golden gooey caramel sauce and ends in a delicious dessert. It's so tasty that you won't be able to stop at one bite and make yourself eat more. This brownie is perfect for birthday, party, valentine, christmas and also perfect for gifting in a cute hamper.

Quick and easy : The caramel brownies are really super easy to make and don't require any fancy tools or cooking method. You can mix the ingredients together in a bowl in under 10 minutes and it will be baked in less than an hour. It is an absolutely beginner friendly recipe.

Versatile : The brownie recipe is so versatile, that you can customize it with your favourite filling. If you're not a fan of caramel, then it can be easily swapped with other flavours like cheesecake, nutella, marshmallow or even with fruits like apple, orange and pineapple. You will love my eggless brownies.

Anyone who knows me or follows me for a really long time knows that I'm addicted to brownie. Whether I'm feeling happy, or feeling low, or want to fix my quick dessert craving, I'll start making brownies. It is my go-to recipe. It is so gooey, chocolatey and comforting at the same time. You can get creative with brownie recipes like adding other flavours like nutella, caramel, peanut butter and cheesecake. I love this caramel brownie recipe because of the salty, sweet caramel sauce that goes really well with chocolate flavour. It is perfect for birthdays, parties, valentine and christmas.

    Ingredients

Unsalted butter : Use good quality unsalted butter. Make sure the butter should be at room temperature and soft before making brownie batter. You can also substitute with any neutral oils.

Sugar : I have used refined white sugar. When baked, it helps to turn the brownie into gooey and achieves a crinkle top. It can be substituted with other sweeteners like coconut sugar, brown sugar.

Vanilla essence : Use a high quality of essence as it acts as a flavour booster. Just add a dash of vanilla essence to enhance the flavour of brownie.

All purpose flour / Maida : All purpose flour / maida is one of the commonly used flour in baking. It provides the perfect brownie texture. But you can also use wheat flour or any millet flour of your choice.

Cocoa powder : Use good quality unsweetened cocoa powder for best taste and chocolatey flavour.

Instant coffee powder : A spoon of instant coffee powder helps to achieve a strong and deep chocolate flavour.

Eggs : Eggs add moist and richness to the brownie.

Almond or walnuts : Nuts like almond, walnuts, cashews add a crunch to the brownie. It is completely optional to add nuts.

Salted caramel sauce : This is the main star ingredient of the recipe. I have used my homemade salted caramel sauce. It gives a gooey, sweet flavour with a hint of salt. You can check the salted caramel sauce recipe on my blog.

    Perfect Brownies Hacks

Pre preparation : Pre heat the oven to 170 degree celsius. Line the baking tray with parchment paper and grease it with oil or butter. Set it aside.

Room temperature : The eggs, butter should be kept at room temperature at least 30 minutes before baking.

Avoid overmix : Overmixing the brownie batter will lead to tough brownies. Mix the ingredients using a spatula instead of an electric beater.

Don't overbake : Overbaking the brownie batter will turn into a dense chocolate cake. Bake them with the mentioned timings.

    Expert Tips

    • While adding eggs, add one by one to mix easily.
    • You can use store bought salted caramel sauce to save time. ● Completely cool the brownie before slicing.
    • Add some chocolate chips to the brownie batter for more chocolate madness.
    • You can also add pecans for extra crunch.

    Serving & Storage

The brownie may stay good at room temperature for 1 to 2 days. You can also refrigerate them by placing a parchment paper in an airtight container and store for a week. Microwave and enjoy it warm.
