This is the brownies which i was talking about here. I was kind of addicted to this brownies, can never stop munching into them. Loved the salty gooey caramel along with the nutty crunchy almonds with the chocolate fudgy brownies. It was so yum..

Salted Caramel Sauce
This is the best brownies i would say. There is something in the salty caramel sauce which makes it so moist and yummy. You can use any nuts of your choice.  I had some almonds on hand so used it, you can use walnuts or cashews.
The orginal recipe had some white chocolate chips added along with the almonds and some dark chocolate chips folded into the top chocolate brownie batter and spooned over top which makes it more taste. But i kept it plain and simple, because i wanted to taste the salty caramel here.
Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..
Preparation Time : 15 mins
Baking Time : 25 to 30 mins
Makes : 16 squares

Ingredients:
Unsalted Soft Butter – 100 grams
Sugar – 1 cup / 200 grams
Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
All Purpose Flour / Maida – 3/4 cup / 90 grams
Cocoa Powder – 3/4 cup
Instant Coffee Powder – 1 tsp
Eggs – 3
Almonds or Walnuts – 3/4 cup chopped
Salted Caramel Sauce – 1 cup

(My 1 Cup Measures 240 ml)

Method:

Preheat oven to 170 Degree C.

Line a square baking tray with parchment paper or wax paper and grease it really well with oil or butter. Set aside.
Take flour, cocoa, coffee in a bowl and mix well. Set aside.
Take butter, sugar and vanilla in a bowl and beat it till creamy using a blender.

Add in one egg at a time and beat till fluffy.
Once it is well mixed, add in the flour mix and fold gently.
Now pour half of the batter into the pan and spread it evenly.
Now pour over caramel sauce and sprinkle chopped almonds over it.
Now add the remaining batter and spread it out.
Bake this for 25 to 30 mins till it is cooked, insert a toothpick to check whether the cake is done.
Now remove it from oven and let it cool completely in the tin.
Once it is completely cooled, remove it and cut into squares.
Serve with icecream.

    Hi Aarthi,

Do you have any idea if I want to use chocolate compound instead? How much to use to subsitute the cocoa powder?

    Thanks
