Baby Corn Masala Recipe / Baby Corn Curry Recipe

This is a tasty sidedish for chapati or roti which can be made in less time. It is so tasty plus it needs no coconut. But it has the thickness of curry which a coconut gives.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 30 to 35 mins
Serves : 4 to 5


Ingredients:Baby Corn – 10 to 12 sliced lengthwise
Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi – 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Sugar – 1/2 tsp
Oil – 1 tblspn
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam – 1 tsp
Coriander Leaves – 3 tblspn finely chopped
Green Chilli – 1 slit
Water as needed


For Grinding:
Onion – 1 large chopped
Tomato – 2 medium size chopped
Ginger – 2 cm piece
Garlic – 4 cloves peeled


Method:Chop baby corn or slit it in lengthwise. Set aside.

Take the ingredients for grinding in a blender and puree it finely.

Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add in cumin seeds and sizzle it.

Add in the pureed masala and cook till oil separates.

Add in spice powders, salt and sugar. Mix well

Add in baby corn and water. Cover and pressure cook for 1 whistle. Let the steam go by itself.

Open the cooker and serve.

Take some baby corn
peel the skin
i sliced them like this, but you can chop them as well
Now take your other ingredients
Take onions in a blender
Add in ginger and garlic
add in tomatoes
Make it into a smooth puree
Heat oil in a pressure cooker
Add in cumin seeds
Add in pureed masala
cook till oil separates
Add in chilli, turmeric and garam masala powder
add in green chilli
Add in some salt and sugar
mix well
add some water
mix well
add in the baby corn
mix well
pressure cook
Serve
