Chocolate Cookies Recipe – Chocolate Sugar Cookies Recipe

Chocolate sugar cookies is a new discovery of mine. And it is so delicious, just like a soft brownie. These cookies taste like a brownie cookie..These cookies is not a crispy kind, it is soft and fluffy ones.

This is such a easy recipe, you need a handful of ingredients which you might already have on hand. When the cookies are baked it cracks on top and gives a nice crispy sugar crust and a soft interior..
Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..
Preparation Time : 10 mins
Chilling Time : 1 hour
Baking Time : 15 mins
Makes : 10 to 12 cookies


Ingredients:

All Purpose Flour / Maida – 1 cup + 1 tblspn / 120 grams +1 tblspn
Cocoa Powder – 1/3 cup / 40 grams
Baking Soda / Cooking Soda – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Unsalted Soft Butter – 3/4 cup / 170 grams
Sugar – 1 cup powdered / 200 grams
Egg – 1
Vanilla Essence – 1 tsp
Granulated Sugar – 1/2 cup / 100 grams


(My 1 cup measures 240 ml)



Method:

Preheat oven to 180 degree C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Take soft butter in a bowl and add in powdered sugar and vanilla. Whip this till creamy.

Add in egg and whip again till creamy.

Add in cocoa powder and whip again till creamy.

Add in flour, baking soda and salt and mix well till combined.

Now chill this dough for 1 hour.

Now take the dough and scoop it using a icecream scoop and roll it out, now roll this in some sugar and arrange it in the tray. Flatten it lightly and bake for 12 to 15 mins.

Now remove it from oven and cool it for 10 mins. Now remove that to a wire rack and cool it completely.

Serve.

Take all your ingredients
Line a baking tray with parchment paper
take butter in a bowl
add in sugar…i powdered the sugar and added it in
whip till creamy
add in vanilla
and an egg
whip till creamy
now it is all mixed up
add in cocoa powder
whip till creamy
add in flour
Add in baking soda and salt
fold gently
now it is mixed up
cover with plastic wrap 
chill for an hour
now it is cold
use a icecream scoop
i made large cookies, you can make it smaller
roll it out
now roll the cookies in sugar
roll it well
arrange it in baking tray
all done
flatten it lightly
now time to bake
bake this till done
these cookies are soft and buttery
cool it completely

    Hi Aarthi.. I tried this recipe today.. My dough was too greasy even after keeping it in fridge for more than an hour.. I couldn't make perfect balls like yours 🙁 So i just scooped in the dough to the baking try.. the cookies were flat after baking.. and was soft in the center. When i allowed more time to make it crunchy, it got burnt at the bottom. Not sure where i went wrong. Can you help me pls.. Thanks a lot
