I just love nutella. Each time when we buy that it gets over in a day. I was kind of addicted to it. But i try not to feed maha nutella, after reading lots of articles about it..Now we have stopped buying it, instead i make similar spread at home.

I couldn’t get hazelnuts in my place, plus they are so expensive when i looked online. So i made this using peanuts. You can use almonds to make this as well. The recipe is pretty simple, when i used only cocoa powder to make it, i couldn’t get the pure chocolate taste. So i used melted chocolate to it so it taste even better.

Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 10 mins
Serves: 500 grams

Ingredients:

Peanuts – 1.5 cup
Brown Sugar – 1 cup
Dark Chocolate Chips – 1 cup
Vegetable Oil – 4 tblspn
Cocoa Powder – 2 tblspn

Method:

Take peanuts in a kadai, dry roast till it is well roasted. Remove it and cool it down.

Take chocolate chips and 2 tblspn oil in a sauce pan and melt on a very low heat till it is melted. Set aside.

Take it in a blender, add cocoa powder and brown sugar and powder it.

Keep blending it till oil comes from the mix and the mix turns moist. Now add 2 tblspn of oil an blend till creamy

Now take this in a bowl. Add in chocolate and mix well.

Now spoon this in a container and store in fridge.

    Hi Aarthi….
    Thanks for the receipe!
I tried this peanut nutella receipe yesterday night, I found no need of adding oil during the stage of blending Peanut, cocoa & brown sugar. When it starts clumpsing keep on blending for some more time and peanut releases its natural oil which is more than enough for its consistency.

oh yes, what blender have you used, Lekshmi? It must be something that is above 1000 watts to release the oil?
