    Easy Egg Bajji Recipe with step by step pictures. This is a mouth-watering snack recipe which is prepared by boiling eggs and then dipping into a batter made of flour and spices.

    Easy Egg Bajji

    Egg Bajji is one of my all time favourite. Traditionally it is made with gram flour batter, but i like to play around and made using all purpose flour and it turns out so tasty and the taste was very different, i liked it.

    Ingredients for Easy Egg Bajji

    • Eggs - 8
    • Oil for Deep frying

    For Batter:

    • All Purpose Flour / Maida - 1 cup
    • Rice Flour or Cornflour - 2 tblspn
    • Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
    • Freshly Ground Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
    • Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - ½ tsp
    • Fennel Seed Powder / Saunf or Sombu Podi - 1 tsp
    • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
    • Salt to taste
    • Baking Soda / Cooking Soda - a pinch
    • Water as needed
     
    I made this and had it with a cup of chai and it was so easy. It makes a great snack for kids as well. Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

    How to Make Easy Egg Bajji

    1. Hard boil eggs, peel them, and cut them in half.
    2. Mix all the ingredients for batter to a smooth paste.
    3. Heat oil for deep frying.
    4. Dip the halved eggs in the batter and fry in hot oil till golden.
    5. Drain on to some paper towel.
    6. Serve with ketchup

    Easy Egg Bajji Recipe Step by Step

     
    Take all your ingredients for batter
    First hard boil some eggs
    Peel the shells
    Cut them in half
    Now lets make the batter..Take all purpose flour / maida
     in a bowl
    add in some rice flour ..You can add some cornflour
    add in chilli, turmeric, pepper and fennel powder
     some salt
    add in ginger garlic paste
    and some baking soda
    mix well
    add in water
    make it into a smooth batter
    drop the eggs in batter
    coat them on both sides
    drop in hot oil and fry till golden
    drain on to a paper towel
    enjoy

      Hi Aarthi, I tried the recipe and it came out really well. But I have a question. Whenever I try to deep fry eggs, it starts bursting and oil starts spluttering all over. Lot of time I got minor burns due to this. Is there any trick with which I can avoid this ?? Your help is appreciated. Thank you 😊
