Eggless Cornflakes Cookies Recipe

I made this cookies today to take for my college dearies. We are seeing after so many years and it was really exciting. The real exciting part is my friends 2 year old kiddo loved this cookies and kept on munching on this. It really made my day..

This cookies is so easy to put together, you just need a handful of ingredients. You can add some chopped nuts along with the dough, cashewnuts will be perfect. 
Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..
Preparation Time : 10 mins
Baking Time : 10 to 12 mins
Makes : 12 cookies

Ingredients:
All Purpose Flour / Maida – 1/2 cup / 60 grams
Powdered Sugar – 1/4 cup / 50 grams
Baking Powder – 1/8 tsp
Salt – a pinch
Unsalted Butter – 50 grams soft
Vanilla Essence – 1/2 tsp
Cornflakes – 1/2 cup + 1/4 cup crushed coarsely

Method:
Preheat the oven to 170 degree C. 
Take butter, sugar, vanilla, salt, in a bowl and beat till creamy.
Add in flour, baking powder and 1/2 cup of crushed cornflakes and mix well to a soft dough.
Divide this into equal portions and flatten it slightly.
Take 1/4 cup of crushed cornflakes in a plate. Roll this in the remaining crushed cornflakes. 
Arrange this in a parchment lined baking tray and bake for 10 to 12 mins.
Remove it and set aside to cool.
Enjoy.

Pictorial:
Take all your ingredients

Take cornflakes in a blender

crush them coarsely
Take butter in a bowl

add in powdered sugar..This is just normal
granulated sugar which is powdered

Add in salt

Add in vanilla essence 
Cream this well

Add in flour

and some baking powder

add in powdered cornflakes

knead it to a dough…If your dough is too dry,
add a little water and knead it to a dough

divide it into equal balls

like this

now roll the ball in cornflakes (if your cornflakes is not coating the balls, just apply some water over the balls and then roll)

Flatten it slightly

Arrange it in a parchment lined tray

bake it

    Let me know can we bake these in microwave. . In convection one ..how… ?

    lovely biscuits Aarthi.. i wish i could do it soon like this:)
    I have a question please help me… i have MR OTG
    Whenever i bake biscuits the base becomes black/brown soon, i usually preheat in toast mode and keep the tray in middle rack and bake, but i read somewhere to keep in top rack tried that too but still same result:(.
    What would be problem of browning? please help me, am fed up trying biscuits :'(

    @UnknownIf you have bake mode, use that to bake this.

    @AarthiThanks Aarthi.. But I always use "bake mode" to bake, but preheat in "toast" mode for 10 mins.
    should i preheat in 'bake' mode then?
