    Green Peas Masala Recipe with step wise pictures.

    Delicious creamy green peas masala which taste so delicious and is easy to make as well. This makes a perfect sidedish for roti, naan or pulao.

    Ingredients
      

    • Oil - 3 tblsp
    • Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp
    • Cinnamon / Pattai - 1 stick
    • Cardamom / Yelakai - 4
    • Onion - 2 large cubed
    • Tomato - 3 chopped
    • Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
    • Coriander Powder - 1 tblsp
    • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
    • Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
    • Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
    • Salt to taste
    • Cashews - 10
    • Melon Seeds - 3 tblsp
    • Jaggery / Sugar - 1 tsp
    • Frozen Peas - 2 cups

    Instructions
     

    • Take onion and tomato in a blender and puree till smooth.
    • Heat oil in a nonstick pan. Add cumin, cinnamon and cardamom and let them sizzle.
    • Add in onion puree and cook for 5 mins.
    • Add in spice powders and salt and mix well. Cook till oil separates.
    • Grind cashews with melon seeds. Add that into the masala. Add water and bring it to a boil.
    • Add peas and sugar. Mix well.
    • Cover and simmer for 5 to 10 mins.
    • Serve.

    1)Take onions in a blender

    2)Add tomatoes

    3)Puree till smooth.

    4)Heat oil in a pan, add cumin, cinnamon and cardamom

    5)Add tomato onion puree

    6)Bring it to a boil

    7)Cook till it thickens

    8)Add spice powders

    9)Add salt

    10)Cook till oil separates

    11)Take cashews and melon seeds in a blender

    12)Add little water

    13)Puree till smooth

    14)Add them in

    15)Add water

    16)Mix well

    17)Add some jaggery

    18)Add peas

    19)Simmer for 10 mins

    20)Cover and cook

    21)Done

    22)Serve
