Lemon Pepper Fried Fish Recipe

This is a different version of fried fish with a lemon and pepper marinate. This doesn’t need chilli powder or other spices. It needs just few ingredients and it taste all lovely together in fish. This has lots of coriander leavesadded it as well, which adds a nice fresh taste to it. The freshly roast and ground fennel and pepper gives another dimension of taste to it.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Marinating Time : 20 mins
Cooking Time: 10 mins
Serves: 4 to 6

Ingredients:


Fish – 12 to 15 pieces, cut into thin slices
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tblspn
Lemon Juice / Vinegar – 3 tblspn
Coriander leaves – 3 tblspn finely chopped
Salt to taste
Oil for frying


For Roasting and Grinding:
Fennel Seeds / Saunf / Sombu – 2 tsp
Black pepper – 1.5 tblspn


Method:

Roast it gently and powder it finely. Now take this in a plate and add other ingredients  except oil and mix well.

Apply this all over fish and leave to marinate for 15 to 20 mins.

Heat little oil in a pan, place fish over it and cook for 3 to 4 mins on each side.

Remove it and serve hot.

Take pepper and fennel in a dry pan
roast till golden
take it in a blender
powder finely
take it in a plate
add ginger garlic paste
add in lemon juice
add in salt
add in coriander leaves
mix well
take your fish slices
apply it all over fish and leave to marinate for 20 mins
heat oil in a tawa and fry the fishes
fry till golden on both sides
serve

    hi i tried this the exact way you mentioned…fennel seeds are the green colored ones right the one which is used as mouth freshener ,not cumin (brown) ?adding fennel kind of gave a weird taste though ..i mean its not bad …but like, is it supposed to taste this way …kind of feel

    Great post I like to eat Fish but if it is prepared by an expert who can cook it and its smell will disappear
