This is a easy sidedish which i made for the battura which i made few days back and it was so delicious..Just loved it..The tangyness of the yogurt was perfect in this and it was so creamy as well. Plus it is very simple to make..Since we are adding gram flour along with yogurt the yogurt wont split when we add it in the hot pan instead it turns out creamy and thick..

Cooking Time : 35 to 40 mins
Oil - 1 tblspn
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp
Thick Curd / Yogurt - 1.5 cup
Besan / Gram Flour / Kadalai Mavu - 1.5 tblspn
Water - 1.5 cup
Onion - 1 large chopped finely
Green Chillies - 2 chopped finely
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tblspn
Tomato - 1 large chopped finely
Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tblspn
Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder - 2 tsp
Potatoes - 2 large boiled, peeled and cut into small pieces
Salt to taste
Sugar - 1 tsp
Coriander Leaves a handful finely chopped
Heat oil in a kadai. Add in cumin and let it sizzle.
Add in onions and green chillies and saute till golden brown.
Now add in ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.
Add in all spice powder, salt and sugar and mix well. Now add in tomatoes and cook till mushy.
Now add in boiled cut potatoes and toss well.
Now add in the besan yogurt mix and mix well. Add in water as well. Keep mixing and bring it to a boil. Simmer this for 5 to 7 mins.
Add in coriander leaves and mix well.
Serve with roti..

|Peel the skin and chop it roughly|
|Take your ingredients|
|Take thick yogurt in a bowl|
|add in gram flour or besan|
|i used my hand blender to whip this up|
|Now in a kadai, add in cumin seeds|
|sizzle for a min|
|add in onions|
|cook till golden|
|add in green chillies|
|add in ginger garlic paste|
|saute for a min|
|Add in turmeric powder, garam masala|
|add in chilli and coriander powder|
|Add in salt and sugar|
|Add in tomatoes|
|Cook till tomatoes turn mushy|
|now it is done|
|add in potatoes|
|now the potatoes are well coated|
|add in the yogurt mix|
|pour it in and mix well|
|Now it will thicken fast|
|add in water|
|mix well..simmer this for 5 to 7 mins|
|now it is done|
