Quick Spinach Dal
This is one of the simplest dal you could ever make. It is easy to make and very nutritious. Great for kids and toddlers. I have quite a bit of dal recipes in my blog, since i make them many times a week. Each time i make it differently.

Ingredients for Quick Spinach Dal
- Yellow Moong Dal / Pasi Paruppu - ½ cup
- Spinach - 3 cups chopped finely
- Tomato - 1 large chopped
- Green Chilli - 2
- Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
- Water - 1 cup + more as needed
- Salt to taste
For Seasoning:
- Ghee - 1 tblspn
- Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp
- Garlic - 4 cloves chopped finely
How to make Quick Spinach Dal
- Take all the ingredients given except seasoning in a cooker. Pressure cook for 2 whistle. Turn off the heat and let the steam escape all by itself. Open the cooker and add salt and more water and bring it to a boil.
- Now make seasoning, heat ghee and crackle cumin seeds and add garlic. Fry till golden. Pour this over the dal and mix well.
- Serve with rice.

Ingredients
- ½ cup Yellow Moong Dal / Pasi Paruppu
- 3 cups Spinach chopped finely
- 1 large Tomato chopped
