    Raw Banana Poriyal Recipe - Vazhakkai Poriyal Recipe

    This is a quick and easy poriyal which is made using Raw banana. It is fast to make and needs just a handful of ingredients. Taste great with rasam or sambar rice or anything. This dish can be done in under 20 mins or so.

    Preparation Time : 5 mins
    Cooking Time : 20 mins
    Serves: 3

    Ingredients:
    Raw Banana - 2 peeled and cubed
    Salt to taste

    Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - 1 tsp
    Oil - 3 tblspn
    Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
    Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu - 1 tsp
    Curry leaves - 1 sprig
    Chilli Powder - 1 tsp

    Method:

    Take banana, salt, Turmeric in a sauce pan, cover with water and cook for 5 to 6 mins till it is cooked. Drain and set aside.
    Heat oil in a kadai. Add in mustard seeds, urad dal and curry leaves. let them sizzle.

    Add in banana and salt and toss well. Cook till it gets crispy..

    Add in chilli powder and mix well.

    Serve.
