Couple of month back one of my team mate from office got us the awesome RUM RAISANS CHOCOLATE from cadburys temptation series. We enjoyed every bit of that chocolate, it was so good. From that day onwards I started to crave for that chocolate more often. Then one fine day something came into my mind, I thought why can’t we try this chocolate at home. From that day onwards I wanted to try it so badly. I know that the recipe for making this so easy peasy. But for me getting rum is the hard part, since I was in my mothers place. But later I got married and have such a sweet person in my house to get all these yummy stuffs for me. I decided to give it a go..

He was so much excited than me, when I told him that I am going to make RUM RAISANS. He can’t wait to give it a taste test..After I finished making it, I brought him the plate of chocolates, he took his first bite and told me………….(CHECK OUT THE IMAGES FOR THE ANSWERS)I hope you will love this as much my hubby does..Tell me if you tried this..

Preparation Time : 5 mins
Cooking Time : 5 mins
Makes : 15 pieces

Ingredients:

Dark Chocolate Chips-  1 cup
Raisans (I used both Sultanas & Raisans) – 1/4 cup
Rum (I used Bacardi) – around 1/4 cup (optional)
Cinnamon Powder – 1/4 tsp
Spray Oil for coating the moulds

Method:

Take the moulds and spray it with some oil. Set aside.

Take rum and raisans in a sauce pan and heat it up. Let it boil for 3-5 mins. Switch off the flame and let it steep there for 30 mins.

Now Take chocolate chips in a sauce pan or double boiler and heat it up. Melt it till done.

Take it off the heat.

Now add in the rum raisans and mix well.

Spoon this into the moulds, and put this in fridge and let it sit there for 1 hours.

Unmould and enjoy..

Notes:

1)If you dont want to use alcohol, then boil raisan in any fruit juice or plain water.
2)If you want your chocolate to be little on the sweet side, add a little honey.
3)You can add nuts or any dried fruits in this.
4)Cinnamon is optional.
5)You can melt chocolate any way you like and you prefer.

Pictorial:

Take all your ingredients
Take raisans in a sauce pan
add rum
Boil it for few mins
Remove it to a bowl and let it sit for 30 mins
take water in a sauce pan
Bring water to a good boil
Place a bowl of chocolate over this, make sure that
the water doesn’t touch the bottom of the bowl
Once the chocolate is melted, take it off the heat
add the steeped raisans
a pinch of cinnamon goes in
mix well
take your moulds
spray it lightly with some oil
take spoonful of this mix
pour it in
all filled
Put in the freezer for a good 1 hour
Unmould and enjoy

In my case, this plate is for my BELOVED HUBBY..

For a more nutritious meal, we can replace it with milk right? My children loves chocolates, this would pretty sure be a hit for them, thanks a lot for the recipe.

I prefer you avoid alcohol in your dishes.Little alcohol leads to more and can be very disastrous.
