Serves: 2 to 3
Ingredients:
Thinai / Foxtail Millet – 1/2 cup
Oil – 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds / Kaduku – 1/2 tsp
Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu – 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam – 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves – 1 sprig
Onion – 1 medium size chopped finely
Green Chilli – 1 chopped finely
Carrot – 1 chopped finely
Coconut – 1/4 cup grated
Water – 2 cups
Salt to taste
Coriander leaves a handful chopped finely
Method:
Heat oil in a pan, Add in mustard, urad dal and cumin seeds, add curry leaves as well and let it splatter.
Add in onions, chillies and saute for a min.
Add in carrots and cook for couple of mins.
Add in thinai and stir well. Add water, salt and bring it to a boil. Cover and simmer for 15 mins till it is cooked.
Add coconut and coriander leaves and mix well.
Serve.

1 to 2 whistle would be good. for 1 cup thinai use 2 cup of water.
