1)Start by draining a can of tuna through a sieve or strainer. Press and extract as much liquid as possible.

2)Heat oil in a kadai and add in onions and cook till translucent.

3)Add in ginger garlic paste and saute for few more seconds. Sprinkle in chilli powder, garam masala powder, salt and mix well.

4)Add in tomato and cook for 3 min until it gets mushy.

5)Now add in strained tuna and mix well. Cover this and cook for 5 min.

6) Squeeze in lemon juice and coriander leaves and mix well.

7)Toss well. Your canned tuna masala is ready.

8)Serve.

Tuna Fish Masala Recipe (Canned Tuna Recipe)
Ingredients
- 1 can Canned Tuna (packed in water)
- 1 tablespoon Sunflower Oil
- 1 large Onion peeled & chopped finely
- 2 medium Tomato chopped finely
- 1 tablespoon Ginger Garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon Red Chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt or to taste
- 3 tablespoon Coriander leaves chopped finely
- 2 teaspoon Lemon juice
Instructions
- Strain tuna through a fine mesh sieve. Press and extract as much liquid as possible. Set aside.
- Heat oil in a kadai and add in onions and cook till translucent. Add in ginger garlic paste and saute for few more seconds. Sprinkle in chilli powder, garam masala powder, salt and mix well.
- Add in tomato and cook for 3 min until it gets mushy. Now Add in strained tuna and mix well. Cover this and cook for 5 min. Squeeze in lemon juice and coriander leaves and mix well.
- Serve hot with rice.

Great recipe! Tasty!!!! fast, healthy and just all round good. I followed all your steps only added a few more spices I had on hand (all completely optional like hing, awaijn, amchur etc - really not necessary!) The only thing I felt really lifted was a little sugar. But such a great fast recipe!! Thank you for the inspiration (uh, I think I might try this with tinned mackerel next week)
