Tzatziki Sauce Recipe – Greek Cucumber Yogurt Sauce Recipe

Tzatziki is a greek sauce, which is normally served with grilled meats in greece. It is made with a combination of thick and rich greek yogurt, garlic, cucumber and olive oil. A creamy and really cooling sauce i would say.

I made this few days back and served with my grilled chicken and it was yum..I had some leftover which i served with a pilaf rice which i made and it was yummy too. Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..
Preparation Time : 10 mins
Serves : 2

Ingredients:

Greek Yogurt or Hung Curd – 1 cup( Recipe here)
Garlic – 1 clove grated
Cucumber – 1 medium size 
Lemon Zest – 1/2 tsp
Lemon Juice – 2 tsp
Coriander Leaves or Dill – 2 tblspn finely chopped
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Olive Oil – 1 tblspn to drizzle on top

Method:

Take hung curd, garlic, lemon zest and juice in a bowl and mix till creamy.

Now peel cucumber, deseed them and grate them finely. Now squeeze out the juice from it and add to the yogurt. Mix well.

Add in coriander leaves,salt and pepper. Mix well.

Pour this in a bowl and drizzle the top with some olive oil and serve.

Take all your ingredients
Take hung curd or greek yogurt in a bowl..Recipe here
whisk till creamy
Zest a lemon
add in lemon juice
you can add as per your taste
grate some garlic and mix well
now take your cucumber
cut both end off
peel it
slit them in half
scoop out the seeds
grate them
squeeze them
squeeze all the juice out
add this in the yogurt
add in chopped coriander leaves
season with salt and pepper
mix well
