Whole Wheat Bhatura Recipe with step by step pictures. This is a simple and easy Punjabi recipe prepared with whole wheat flour instead of maida.

    Whole Wheat Bhatura

Bhatura is my favourite, i make them atleast once in a week or two week. Traditionally bhatura is made with yeast, but trust me i have have never used yeast in my bhaturas. I always add baking soda or powder in my bhatura. I have already shared a bhatura recipe in my website and this is my bhatura recipe using wheat flour..

    Ingredients for Whole Wheat Bhatura

    • Whole Wheat Flour / Atta - 2 cup + more as needed
    • Milk - ¾ cup
    • Curd / Yogurt - ¼ cup
    • Salt to taste
    • Sugar - 2 tbsp
    • Baking Powder - 1 tsp
    • Oil - 1 tbsp + 1 tsp + for deep frying

I use baking soda / cooking soda in bhatura, but i found  that adding baking powder in bhatura makes it so tasty and gives a light bhatura. So try it this way.

Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..
