Chow Chow Chapati Recipe - Chayote Chapati Recipe


This is my little ones favourite. It is a great way to include veggies in your kids diet. I thought of sharing it with you because many of you have been asking me the recipe when i shared it in my instagram, BTW if you are not following me on instagram, i think you have to follow..

Preparation Time : 15 mins
Cooking Time : 1 min per roti
Makes : 6 roti

Ingredients:

Wheat Flour / Atta - 1 cup
Chow Chow / Chayote - 1 large grated
Salt to taste
Red Chilli Powder - 1/4 tsp
Ghee / Oil- 1 tblspn + more for pan frying
Coriander Leaves - 3 tblspn finely chopped
Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1/2 tsp

Method:

Take all ingredients in a bowl and mix well to a smooth dough.

Knead it for 2 mins. Cover and let it rest for 10 mins.

Now divide it into equal portions and make chapati.

Pan fry it in a hot tawa and serve.

Take chow chow or chayote
grate it


take it in a bowl


add in cumin seeds


add chilli powder and salt


add coriander leaves


mix well


add in wheat flour


mix well


add little water


knead it to a smooth dough


drizzle top with some oil


allow it to rest for 15 mins


Divide it into a equal portions


take one ball


roll it out


done


heat tawa and put roti in it


cook till small bubbles form on top


flip over and cook


drizzle some oil over it


flip over and cook


drizzle with some oil


Serve
