    About Honey Chicken

Honey Chicken Recipe is a delicious tasty recipe from Chinese Cuisine.  If you love Chinese food then definitely you will love this recipe.  It’s very easy and simple to cook. Mostly served for Dinner and weekend parties with Noodles/Chow mein or Fried rice.

    Ingredients for honey chicken recipe

Chicken Breast : Chop chicken breast Eventually into cubes, if you take large pieces it will extend your cooking time. you can also use chicken thighs but it has more fat than Chicken breast

How to Make Batter for Chinese Chicken

Corn Flour / Corn Starch: It is gluten free so it provide the crispiness. But if you fully use corn flour it will be like glue and not a good batter also if we fry the chicken with corn flour alone it will be white in colour but we need golden brown. So we need to add some all purpose Flour / maida.

All Purpose Flour / Maida : It gives softness to the batter and we have to use less amount of Maida comparatively with corn flour reason to add maida is get golden colour and to activate Baking powder it don’t activate alone with Corn flour.

Baking Powder : Baking powder acts with all purpose flour to the make batter puffy and crispiness to the chicken

Sprinkle some Sesame seeds on the Honey chicken before Serving.

This recipe is only 373 calories per serving made with per 400Gms of chicken

Honey chicken recipe is mostly served with Noodles/Chow mein or Fried rice

Hi aarthi, is it okay to heat honey? It makes it becoming toxic to human consumption

Fantastic cant wait to try it. It also reminds me of sweet and sour pork that the Chinese make. Probably will work with pork too. Thanks for the recipe.

This was delicious! I am usually unsure about recipes that call for an ingredient "as needed", but I just added water until the batter looked good. Almost a cup! The chicken was nice and crispy, and the sauce was thick and so easy to throw together. Great recipe!

More sauce please??? It seems to me that the honey part is what makes the chicken so addictive. 2 tbsps??? Really???? I quadrupled the sauce recipe to coat my chicken thoroughly. Came out delicious!
