Cardamom Chicken Curry
Love cardamom flavour in my chicken dishes..It smells almost sweet and fragrant goes well with meat very well, specially chicken. This is a simple chicken curry which has a complete cardamom aroma to it. So good with naan or roti..So give this a go and let me know how it turns out for you.
Ingredients for Cardamom Chicken Curry
- Butter - 3 tblspn
- Cardamom - 5 to 6 pods crushed
- Tomatoes - 3 chopped finely
- Tomato Puree - ½ cup
- Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
- Green Chillies - 5 chopped finely
- Coriander Powder / Malli Podi - 2 tsp
- Cumin Powder / Jeera Powder - 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder / Manjal Podi - ½ tsp
- Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
- Chicken - 500 grams
- Cornflour / Cornstarch - 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Sugar - 1 tsp
- Coriander leaves a handful finely chopped

How to Make Cardamom Chicken Curry
Now add in tomatoes, green chillies and mix well. Add in ginger garlic paste and pureed tomatoes. Add in salt, sugar. spice powder and cook everything till oil separates.
Now add in chicken and mix well. Toss the chicken in the masala till it is well coated.
Pour in little water and cook covered on a low heat till the chicken is completely cooked through for about 30 mins.
Mix cornflour with little water. Add this to the curry and Mix well.
Add coriander leaves and serve.

Take all your ingredients |

add in cardamom seeds |
saute for a min so the aroma releases in the butter |
add in tomatoes and chillies |
give a quick toss |
add in ginger garlic paste |
tomato puree |
mix well |
bring it to a boil |
add in little salt |
and some sugar |
add in spice powders |
mix well |
cook everything till butter separates around the sides |
add in chicken |
toss well |
stir fry this in the masala |
add in little water |
mix well |
cover and simmer |
cook till chicken is completely done |
now it is cooked |
take little cornflour |
dissolve it with some water |
pour this into the curry |
mix well..add in coriander leaves, i didn't have any so i didn't add |
