    Cheese Puri Recipe

    Cheese Puri is one of the easy recipe you could ever make. This recipe has very simple ingredients and everything is stuffed into a puri. This makes a yummy snacks for kids. Cheese Puri is a delicious Indian breakfast loaded with cheese, onions and chillies. Very simple to make.

    Variations

    1)Add finely chopped capsicum, coriander leaves along with the cheese to make CORIANDER CHEESE PURI.

    2)Add finely chopped carrots, beans, cabbage, capsicum, salt and pepper along with the cheese to make CHEESE VEGETABLE PURI.

    3)Add in chopped spring onions, oregano, basil along with the cheese to make HERBY CHEESE PURI.

    4)Add in grated paneer to the cheese to make CHEESE PANEER PURI.

    5)Add in masala powders like chilli powder, turmeric powder, chaat masala powder, coriander leaves, garam masala powder, cumin powder to make MASALA CHEESE PURI.

    Cheese Puri, Stuffed Cheese Puri which has a onion cheese filling inside the puri and fried till golden. The cheese inside gets molten and taste amazing.

    Ingredients

    FOR PURI DOUGH:

    • Wheat Flour - 1 cup
    • Sooji / Rava - 2 tblsp
    • Salt to taste
    • Oil - 1 tblsp
    • Water as needed
    • Oil for deep frying

    FOR FILLING:

    • Cheese - 1 cup grated
    • Onion - 1 finely chopped
    • Green Chillies - 1 chopped finely

    Instructions

    • Mix flour, sooji, salt, 1 tblsp oil in a bowl. Add little water little at a time and shape it into a dough.
    • Set aside for 30mins.
    • Mix all ingredients for filling and set aside.
    • Take some dough and toll it gently.
    • Spoon some filling in and seal it well.
    • Roll it gently and Set aside.
    • Deep fry in hot oil and fry till golden.
    • Drain and serve hot.

    Notes

    1)You can make the puri dough in a big batch and store in fridge for a week.
    2)Make filling a day ahead and store in fridge.
    3)Use any cheese. I used cheese slice. You could use cheddar, mozzarella as well.
    4)Any finely chopped vegetables can be added.
    5)Instead of making this in puri, you can cook on a tawa as paratha.
    6)This makes a great kids friendly recipe too.
    7)Makes perfect lunch box or snacks box recipe too.

    1)Take onions in a bowl. Add in green chillies

    3)Add in grated cheese. I used 2 slice of cheese

    5)Take some chapati dough in a rolling board

    6)Roll it gently

    8)Seal from the edges
