I seriously have a addiction towards bars, they are so handy. portable, mini size and you dont feel so guilty that you have gulped a whole lot of it. It is perfect for sharing as well. When i made this i was so happy that i had my homemade strawberry jam to use for this, so i know it is double healthy..
Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turned out for you..Dont forget to enjoy it with a glass of cold milk..
Preparation Time : 10 mins
Baking time : 30 to 40 mins
Makes : 16 squares
Recipe Source : pioneer woman

Ingredients:

All Purpose Flour / Maida – 3/4 cup / 90 grams
Instant Oats (Quick cooking) – 3/4 cup / 65 grams
Unsalted Butter – 100 grams
Powdered Sugar – 1/2 cup / 100 grams
Baking Powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt – 1/4 tsp
Strawberry Jam – 1 cup or any jam (RECIPE HERE)

(My 1 cup measures 240 ml)

Method:

Preheat oven to 170 degree C. Grease a 15 cm square baking tray with butter and set aside

Take flour, oats, baking powder, salt. butter in a bowl and use a fork or your hands to mix it well.

Now transfer half of this mix into the tray and press it evenly,

Spread jam all over it.

Sprinkle the remaining crumbles all over the jam.

Now bake this in the preheated oven for 30 to 40 mins.

Let it cool completely.

Now cut it into squares and enjoy with a glass of milk.

Pictorial:
You just need a handful of ingredients
Start by making the base..I took some instant
oats in a bowl
add in flour
add in some baking powder and salt
Now add in some powdered sugar..this is regular
sugar which i powdered in a blender
Now add in butter
use a fork to mix it into the flour
now it is looking like a crumble, little wet that that
look at the texture
pour half of the mix into a greased baking dish
use you hands to press it evenly
just press it lightly so it forms a even layer
all done..i love the specks of oats all over it, it makes
it crunchy
Now you have to grab your favourite jam, i used
my homemade strawberry jam
RECIPE HERE
mm…so delicious..
add a good amount of jam
use the back of a spoon to smoothen it out
now it is evenly spread
take the remaining crumble
sprinkle all over the jam
time to bake
all golden and the smell is just divine
let it cool down, then cut into squares and enjoy
taste great with a glass of milk..

@Deepai am not sure…it will make the bars little denser..you can use half flour and half wheat flour
