Dry Fish Thokku Recipe – Karuvadu Thokku Recipe – Dry Fish Curry Recipe

This is a simple recipe which you can make with dry fish. The tangy and spicy masala goes really well with the dry fish and taste amazing.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 30 mins
Serves:4

Ingredients:

Oil – 4 tblspn
Dry Fish Pieces – 10
Garlic – 6 cloves chopped
Onion – 1 chopped finely
Green Chillies – 2 chopped
Tomatoes – 1 large chopped finely
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Chilli Powder – 2 tsp
Salt (optional) if needed
Water as needed


Method:

Wash and soak dry fish pieces in hot water for 30 mins. Drain and set aside.

Heat oil in a pan, add in garlic and fry for a min. Add in onion, green chillies and tomatoes and cook that till mushy.

Add in turmeric and chilli powder and mix well.

Add in fish pieces and toss well in the masala. cook this for 5 to 6 mins.

Now add in water and bring it to a boil. Mix well.

Now cook this till it is thickened. Mash it gently so it mixes with the gravy.

Now serve this with rice.

take all your ingredients

add tomatoes
mix well and cook till it soften up
add turmeric powder
add chilli powder
mix well
add fish pieces in
mix well and stir fry on high heat for 5 mins
add water
now keep cooking uncovered till everything gets soft
now it is almost done
keep mashing the fish so it incorporates with the masala
now it is all dried up.
Serve
