    About Fruit Cocktail

A fruit cocktail is a combination of mainly tart and sweet fruits that is occasionally sweetened with a liquor and served as a first course in a tiny stemmed glass. Fruit salad can be served as an appetiser, a side salad, or a dessert in many formats. A fruit salad is sometimes referred to as a fruit cocktail when served as an appetiser or dessert. The term cocktail is used in the name to indicate to a secondary definition: an appetiser produced by blending pieces of food, such
    as fruis.

    Ingredients for Fruit Cocktail Jelly

    Canned Fruit Cocktail :

Water-packed canned fruit is the healthiest option in terms of calorie count and overall nutrition value. The heavy and light syrups are both high in sugar and have little nutritional value other than calories. Fruit packed in juice has substantially less
added sugar than canned fruit packaged in syrup.

    Jelly Crystal :

Jelly crystals are high in protein and have a unique amino acid profile, making them potentially beneficial to ones health. The protein fibres unravel and come apart when the jelly crystals are heated and combined with water, causing the jelly from the packet to melt. The fibres coil up again when the jelly cools, trapping water between them and causing the jelly to set.

    Fruit Cocktail Jelly  preparation

    • Drain canned fruit cocktail and chop it finely.
    • Take the fruit pieces in individual cups and set aside.
    • Make jelly as per package directions. Pour the liquid jelly over the fruits and let it set in fridge for 2 hours.
    • Serve cold.

Hope you will give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you.
