How to Cook Sweet Potatoes in Jaggery Syrup

Sometimes the sweet potatoes which you get here are not at all sweet. I hate eating those. So i use this method to cook those which i learned from my friend vani. It makes the sweet potatoes taste way more sweet and delicious. Give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 20 mins


Ingredients:

Sweet Potatoes – 5 medium size
Jaggery – 1 cup
Water as needed

Method:

Wash and scrub sweet potatoes really well. Cut it in half or as preferred.

Now take jaggery and water in a pressure cooker, add sweet potatoes in and pressure cook for 3 whistle, simmer for 5 mins, turn off the heat and let the steam escape all by itself.

Open the cooker and remove the sweet potatoes, peel off the skin and serve

Take your sweet potatoes and scrub them really well
take jagery in a pressure cooker
add water
add sweet potatoes in and pressure cook
now it is done
peel the skin
serve
