    Hung Curd Recipe with step by step pictures. This recipe is nothing but yogurt drained of all its water. It is used to make thick raitas, dips and even chutneys.

    Hung Curd

    Hung curd is one of the most versatile ingredient on hand. You can make a great desert out of it by mixing it with some sugar and some other stuffs. Check out my shrikhand recipe. Believe it or not i make my cream cheese frosting using this, because i cannot find cream cheese in my place. I made this last week because i made a special mango desert using this. So stay tuned for that..

    Ingredients for Hung Curd

    • Homemade Curd - 2 cups

    How to Make Hung Curd

    1. Take a bowl and place a sieve over it, line the sieve with cheesecloth.
    2. Pour the curd in the cloth and wrap it up.
    3. Now place the bowl in fridge overnight to let it drain.
    4. Next morning hung curd is ready.

      @AnonymousNo it wont, since we are keeping it in fridge, it will not turn sour, unless u use sour curd

      @AnonymousJust overnight draining is good. You can store the hung curd in a air tight container for 2 to 3 days in fridge

      for cream cheese forsting u said we can use paneer and curd...for how many days we have to wait.can we mix both and use by tommarrow.
