    Prawn Thoran Recipe with Step by Step Pictures. Prawn or Chemmeen coconut thoran is made with prawns, coconut and spices. This is easy to make and taste delicious.

    Prawn Thoran

    This is a simple coconut based prawn dish. it is so flavourful and taste so delicious. You can have it with plain rice and rasam. Taste heavenly.

    Ingredients for Prawn Thoran

    • Prawns - 250 grams chopped into small pieces
    • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
    • Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
    • Lemon Juice or Vinegar - 1 tblspn
    • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
    • Coconut - 1 cup grated
    • Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
    • Dry Red Chillies - 2
    • Fennel Seeds / Saunf / Sombu - 1 tsp
    • Cinnamon / Pattai - 1 small piece

    How to Make Prawn Thoran

    1. Take marination ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Leave it to marinate for 10 mins.
    2. Take grinding ingredients in a blender and make it into a coarse mix, dont add water to this.
    3. Heat oil in a pan, add in onions, curry leaves and give s quick toss. Add in the prawns and cook on high heat till the water leached from the prawns dries up.
    4. Now add in coconut masala and toss well till it is well roasted.
    5. Now serve.

    Ingredients
      

    • Coconut Oil - 1 tblspn
    • Onion - 1 medium size sliced thinly
    • Curry leaves a handful
    • For Marination:

    • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
    • Salt to taste
    • For Grinding:
