    Pudalangai Puli Curry 

    Its been a while since i posted any kuzhambu recipes. SO i made this yesterday and i am sharing it with you. I have posted so many kuzhambu recipes in my blog.

    This is a gravy which i made using snake gourd. This gravy has coconut in it and taste little tangy as well. It taste delicious with hot rice along with some side dishes like potatoes and cabbage.

    Ingredients for Pudalangai Pulikari

    • Snake Gourd / Pudalangai - 1 chopped
    • Oil - 1 tblspn
    • Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
    • Urad dal - 1 tsp
    • Dry Red Chilli - 2 broken into pieces
    • Tamarind Pulp - 1 tblspn
    • Coriander Powder - 1 tblspn
    • Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
    • Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
    • Coconut - 1 cup grated
    • Salt to taste
    • Water as needed

    How to make Pudalangai Pulikari

    1. Grind coconut in a blender and puree till smooth.
    2. Heat oil in a pan, add in mustard, urad dal, dry red chilli and let it sizzle.
    3. Add in snake gourd and saute well. Add salt and water and cook till the veggies is done.
    4. Now when the veggies are half done, add in spice powders and mix well. Cook for 5 mins or so.
    5. Add in tamarind and mix well. Cook for 2 more mins.
    6. Add in coconut and mix well. Simmer for 5 mins.
    7. Serve with rice.

    Take all your ingredients
    take coconut in a blender
    puree till smooth
    heat oil in a pan, add in seasoning ingredients
    let it sizzle
    add in snake gourd
    give a good toss
    add in salt
    add water
    mix well
    cook till done
    add in spice powders
    add in tamarind pulp
    mix well
    simmer for few mins
    add in ground coconut
    mix well
    simmer for few mins
