Sakkaravalli Kizhangu Poriyal Recipe or sweet potato poriyal with step by step pictures. Salty and sweet spicy sweet potato stir fry.

    Sweet Potato Poriyal

Sweet potato poriyal taste really delicious. The sweetness from the potatoes gets intense when it is cooked. This goes well with rice, sambar or any gravy.

    About Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes are one of the worlds oldest veggies. Scientists believe they were cultivated thousands of years ago in Central America. In Peruvian records, their first appearance is dated to 750 B.C. They were brought to Europe by Christopher Columbus, who discovered them in 1492 while on a voyage. Sweet potatoes are a nutrient-dense root vegetable that are high in potassium, fibre, vitamin A, and other nutrients. Sweet potatoes are frequently seen as the healthier option due to their high fibre and nutrient content.

Choose small to medium-size firm sweet potatoes with smooth skin and no bruises or cracks. Look for sweet potatoes that have a more uniform breadth and do
not taper to points when selecting them. This will assist you in cutting more fries of the same size.
