Cooking Time : 5 mins for making sugar syrup
Serves 6 to 7 (a little more than 1/2 cup measure)
Grapes – 500 gms
Sugar – 3/4 cup
Water – 1 cup
Start by making sugar syrup, take sugar and water in a sauce pan and heat it till dissolved. Set aside till it cools down.
Take grapes in a blender and make into a fine puree.
Pour that over a strainer and press using a spactula till it is all pressed and juice is extracted.
Now add the sugar syrup over this and mix well.
Now pour this in a freezer safe shallow container and put in deep freeze and allow it to set overnight.
Now take it out and use a fork or spoon and scrape it so that it forms like a crushed grape ice..
Return back to the freezer till you serve.
Spoon into serving glass and serve immediately.
|You will need grapes, sugar and some water|
|bring water to a boil|
|add sugar to it|
|and heat gently..|
|till everything is combined..|
|let it sit for a while..|
|grab some fresh grapes|
|add it to the blender|
|Puree it to smooth|
|till it is blended nicely..|
|pass this through a strainer..|
|and remove all the juice from it..|
|fresh pure grape juice..|
|now add the sugar syrup in this..|
|Pour in freezer safe containers..|
|cover with a lid..|
|and put in deep freeze..|
|let it set till rock hard..|
|grab a spoon and scrape it off..|
|till it is coarse and looks like a granita|
