Cantaloupe Granita Recipe with step by step picture. This granita is made with Muskmelon and Lemon Juice. Refreshing Summer dessert.

    Cantaloupe Granita

I love granita, in my opinion it is a guilt free icecream. Because it is cooling and gives the satisfication of eating an ice cream but without the calorie. It is just fruit pulp frozen and scraped to form a sand like crystal which taste like heaven. I have already shared a watermelon granita and grape granita.

I just want to share different versions of granita here. Had two cantaloupe which hubby picked during our last supermarket visit, made a cantaloupe lemon cooler and this. So here is my cantaloupe version. I made this yesterday and it turned out great. Loved it to core, give this a try and let me know how it turns out for you..

    Ingredients for Cantaloupe Granita Recipe

    • Ripe Cantaloupe / Musk Melon - 1
    • Sugar - 3 tbsp or to taste
    • Lemon Juice - tbsp

How to make Cantaloupe Granita Recipe

    1. Cut open a cantaloupe and scoop the seeds. Now scoop the flesh and add it to a blender, add other ingredients and puree smoothly.
    2. Transfer the puree to a freezer container and freeze for 3 to 4 hours or till frozen.
    3. Now remove them and use a spoon or fork to scrape it out,
    4. Freeze again till serving.
    5. Serve cold.
