    Agathi Keerai Poriyal

    This is one the simple and healthy sidedish which is made using spinach. In my place, there are varieties of spinach leaves are available and i make sure to include them in our diet regularly..I used agathi keerai to make this and it tasted pretty good..

    Ingredients for Agathi Keerai Poriyal

    • Spinach - 4 cups chopped ( I used agathi keerai)
    • Oil - 1 tbsp
    • Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
    • Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu - 1 tsp
    • Onion - 1 medium size chopped
    • Garlic - 6 fat cloves
    • Dry Red Chillies - 2 to 3
    • Salt to taste
    • Coconut - ½ cup grated

    How to Make Agathi Keerai Poriyal

    1. Take garlic and chilli in a blender and crush them.
    2. Heat oil in a kadai. Add in mustard and urad dal. Let them pop.
    3. Add in onions and saute for few sec.
    4. Now add in garlic and chilli mix. Toss well for a min.
    5. Add in the spinach and toss well in the oil. It will cook down.
    6. Season with some salt.
    7. Add in coconut and stir fry for few mins.
    8. Serve.
