you add in. I already have a dry version of aloo channa in my blog, this is a gravy version of it which I make very often at home. You can serve this with roti, parottas or rice. Hope you will enjoy it.

How to Make Aloo Chana Curry
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add in cumin and let it sizzle for a min.
- In goes onions and saute till they turn golden.
- Add in ginger garlic paste and mix well.
- Now add in tomatoes and cook till oil separates.
- Add in chilli, turmeric, coriander, garam masala powder and mix well.
- Add in salt and sugar to taste,
- Now add in channa, potatoes and toss well.
- Pour some water and pressure cook it for 3 whistle and simmer the flame for 10 mins. Now switch off the flame and let the pressure go all by itself.
- Open the pressure cooker and garnish with coriander leave.
- Serve with roti or parotas.

Ingredients
- Potato - 2 large peeled and chopped
- Chickpeas / Kabuli Channa - 2 cup cooked / 1 can
- Onion - 1 large chopped finely
- Tomatoes - 2 large chopped finely
- Ginger Garlic Paste- 1 tblspn
- Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves - 1 spring
- Chilli powder - 1 tsp
- Green Chilli - 2
- Coriander powder / Malli podi - 1 tblspn

- Garam masala powder - 2 tsp
- Oil - 2 tblspn
- Coriander leaves - a handful
- Salt to taste

Did you pre-soak the chana or just washed and added? Will try on weekend. thank you.

@AnonymousThis is how i freeze channa dal. I soaked it overnight, Cooked it and freezed it. So i used that channa to make this. If you are making this with presoaked channa, you might need to cook for a little longer.

I made this for supper yesterday. I thought I was substantial enough, with the channa and potatoes, so I skipped the rice, and we just ate it with a little bit of bread. It tasted great! My husband liked it so much that he even took some of the leftover curry to work in his lunchbox 🙂 Just like you, I'm a big fan of potatoes, so I'll definitely try the dry version of this curry.
