Its monday, I am gonna start this week by sharing a rich sweet recipe to make your week so sweet. This recipe was in my mind for ages. But somehow i postponed it from making, because it is so rich and also very fatty. But nothing can compromise it taste. It is so yummy, how will a recipe using badam, ghee, sugar and all those wonderful stuff go bad.

Halwa is always yummy. Specially this recipe, it is mouthwatering. This is not at all complicated to make, it is so simple. You will never go wrong with this recipe, if you follow my steps. Try to add a good amount of ghee in this recipe, that will make it non sticky and halwa like. I hope you will try this and let me know what you think.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Soaking Time : 1 hour
Cooking Time : 30 mins
Serves – 3 to 4
Recipe Source : Raks Kitchen

Ingredients:

Badam – 1/2 cup

Sugar – 1/2 cup / 100 grams
Milk – 1/2 cup / 125 ml
Ghee – 1/4 cup / 60 ml
Water – 1/4 cup / 60 ml
Cardamom Powder / Elachi powder – 1 tsp
Saffron a pinch

Method:

Take badam in a bowl and cover it with hot water and soak it for a hour. Now peel the skin off and  add it to the blender and grind it to a smooth paste by adding milk.

Take sugar and water in a non stick kadai and heat it up til it dissolve.

Now add in the ground badam mixture and keep mixing.

Stir this for 5 to 7 mins on medium flame till it gets thick.

Now add in saffron and mix well.

Add in spoonful of ghee at a time and keep stirring.

Once you have added all the ghee, the mixture will start leaving the sides of the pan.

Add in cardamom powder and keep mixing.

It will be little thick, but still be little sticky.

Trasfer this to a bowl and let it cool down.

Once it cools down it will become non sticky and little hard like a halwa.

Serve.

Did badham halwa, really good, but I did a small mistake, while grinding badam with milk,i add the entire milk so the badam didn't get fine paste,so Dnt add entire milk while grinding, and we have to use unboiled milk right arthi
