Gooseberries are like a  healthiest stuff which most of them stay away from. But it has millions of health benefit packed in them. You should have a portion of this in your diet everyday in some form. I have quite a few recipe for this fruit here in my blog, you can check it here.

This juice recipe is one of my latest addiction. I make it in bulk and store the essence in fridge. So i can dilute it with water and have it whenever i need. I hope you will love this as much as i do and let me know if you try it someday.

Preparation Time: 10 mins
Makes – 3 to 4 glassful

Ingredients:

Gooseberry / Amla / Nellikai – 7
Green Chilli – 1 small
Curry leaves – a small handful
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Sugar – 3 tblspn or to taste
Salt to taste
Cumin powder / Jeera podi – 1/2 tsp
Cold Water as needed

Method:

Deseed and chop gooseberry.

Take all ingredients in a blender except water and make into fine puree.

Strain them in a fine sieve.

Add in cold water as per taste and mix well.

Serve cold.

Notes:

You can store this essence in the fridge in a air tight bottle for upto a week or you can freeze them into individual cubes in a icecube tray and store them in a ziploc bag for upto 3 months.
