"Egg pasta dough with step by step pictures. This is a very basic egg pasta dough which can be used to make any types and shapes of pasta dough."

I love making pasta. I bought a pasta maker recently and was very much excited to make different shapes of pasta. This is a very basic egg pasta dough.

HOW TO MAKE PASTA DOUGH AT HOME

    • Take flour, eggs and salt in a food processor and pulse few times till it comes together.
    • Take it in a work surface and start kneading. Knead till it comes together into a tight dough.
    • Now cover with plastic wrap and set aside for 30 mins or so.
    • Now take a pasta machine and set it up for rolling the dough.
    • Divide the dough into 2 portions.
    • Start rolling it into the thicker settings. Now fold it to laminate the dough and keep rolling by reducing the setting size.
    • You might need to laminate the dough few times to get the perfect texture.
    • Now roll the pasta sheet in the thinner setting until you get the correct texture.
    • Now you can use noodle cutter to cut it into noodle like. Or cut it like lasagna sheets as well.
