Serves : 4
Ingredients :
Oil – 1 tblspn
Ginger – 1 tblspn sliced thinly
Garlic – 4 cloves sliced thinly
Onions – 1 medium size sliced thinly
Green Chillies – 3 to 4 sliced thinly
Drumstick – 1 chopped
Thick Coconut Milk – 1 cup (Recipe here)
Rice Flour / Arisi Mavu – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Water as needed
Method:
Mix coconut milk with rice flour and set aside.
Take drumstick, water and little salt in a sauce pan, bring it to boil, simmer till the drumstick is cooked. Set aside.
Heat oil in a kadai. Add in ginger, garlic, and saute for a min.
Add in onions, chillies and saute with some salt till the onions turn soft.
Now add in the drumstick along with the water and mix well. Add in the coconut milk mix and mix well.
Bring it to a boil. Turn off the heat.
Serve with appam, rice, idiyappam..

add water to them |
season with little salt |
cook till the drumsticks are tender |
take coconut milk in a bowl |
add in little rice flour |
mix well and set aside |
heat little oil in a pan |
add in ginger and garlic |
saute for a min |
add in onions and green chillies |
sprinkle little salt |
saute them |
they will cook down a lot |
now add in the cooked drumsticks along with any water |
mix well |
pour in the coconut milk mix |
mix well |
bring them to a boil |
once it boils, turn off the heat |
It will be thickened now |
