    Hersheys Chocolate Syrup

Frankly speaking I am not a big fan of hershey's chocolate syrup. Somehow i don't like the overly sweet sauce along with the sweet ice creams. But many of my friends, even my sister drink that stuff straight from the bottle. It is seriously addictive and it is one of the top searched list in google. So i decided to make a homemade one. And i have to warn you one thing. This doesn't taste exactly like the hershey's, but in my opinion it taste way better than that.

    About Chocolate Syrup

Chocolate syrup is a combination of cocoa powder, sugar, water and cornstarch. The syrup is sticky and syrup with very less efforts.

How to make chocolate syrup with cocoa

When i googled the recipe for it, i came across few recipes. I took the recipe, modified a little and made it. OMG it came out so good. The cool thing is you could make a decent chocolate syrup without chocolate bar. It is made from cocoa and taste so addictive. Making your own chocolate sauce is great because you could adjust the sweet level too.

If you are serving it with ice cream, reduce the sweetness. If you serving it with pancakes or something less sweet, then increase it. And also if you want to store this for a longer period of time, then skip the milk and make it with water. It will taste equally good.

How to Make Hershey's Chocolate Syrup

    • Take all the ingredients in a sauce pan except milk. Slowly add in milk and mix well so there is no lumps formed.
    • Now heat it up. Once it reaches a boiling point, simmer the flame and let it simmer for 5 mins.
    • The sauce should be on the runny side. It thickens as it stands.
    • Serve this with cold ice cream.
