    Paneer is a very popular ingredient. Many of you will be a huge fan of it as well. This version of paneer curry is simple to make and requires very less ingredients too.

    What is Laal Paneer?

    Laal means Red. Laal paneer is red colored paneer dish made using kashmiri chillies and tomatoes.

    How to Make Laal Paneer

    • Take cut paneer, coat in cornflour and fry in oil till golden brown. Remove and set aside.
    • Mix kashmiri chilli powder in water to a paste and set aside.
    • Heat oil in a pan, add in whole spices. Add in red chilli powder water and cook for 1 min.
    • Next goes ginger paste and mix well.
    • Pour in tomato puree and cook till raw smell leaves.
    • Add in cumin powder, salt and mix well.
    • Pour little water and bring it to a boil.
    • Add in paneer cubes and mix well.
    • Simmer for 5 mins.
    • Add coriander leaves and mix well.
    • Serve

    Ingredients

    • 200 grams Paneer
    • 4 tbsp Oil
    • 2 tbsp Cornflour
    • 1 Bay Leaf
    • 1 Cinnamon
    • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
    • 2 large Tomato Pureed
    • 1 tsp Ginger Paste
    • 1 tbsp Kashmiri Chilli Powder
    • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
    • Salt
    • Coriander leaves

    Instructions

    • Take cut paneer, coat in cornflour and fry in oil till golden brown. Remove and set aside.

    Notes

    1. You can cut paneer into any shapes as you like. 
    2. Adding garam masala powder gives nice flavour as well.
    3. If you want you can ginger garlic paste instead of ginger paste.
    4. Finely chopped onions can be added and fry it lightly before adding tomatoes.

    Pictorial:

    3)Now lets fry these paneer pieces

    4)Heat oil in a pan. Add in paneer pieces and fry

    5)Once it is golden brown. Remove to a plate

    6)Mix chilli powder with little water

    7)Heat oil in a pan. Add in whole spices

    8)Add in the red chilli paste

    9)Add in ginger paste. You can add ginger garlic paste as well.

    10)Add in tomato puree

    11)Mix well. Cook for 5 mins. Add in cumin powder

    12)Mix well

    13)Add in salt and little sugar

    14)Add in fried paneer cubes

    15)Mix well.

    16)Simmer for 5 to 6 mins

    17)Add coriander leaves

    18)Serve
