Ladies Finger Curry Recipe – Vendakkai Curry Recipe – Bhindi Sabzi Recipe

This is a quick and easy poriyal which is made using lady finger. It is fast to make and needs just a handful of ingredients. Taste great with rasam or sambar rice or anything. This dish can be done in under 20 mins or so. You can make this and have it on its own as well, it is that delicious.

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 30 mins
Serves: 3 to 4


Ingredients:

Ladies Finger – 15 chopped into thin rounds
Oil – 2 tblspn + 1 tblspn
Mustard Seeds / Kaduku – 1 tsp
Urad dal / Ulundu Paruppu – 1 tsp
Onion – 1 chopped finely
Tomato – 2 chopped finely
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 2 tsp
Salt to taste


Method:

Heat 2 tblspn oil in a pan, add lady finger and saute till golden brown, drain and set aside.

Now in the same pan, add more oil if needed, add mustard and urad dal and let it sizzle.

Now add onions and cook till golden.

Add in tomatoes and cook till mushy.

Add salt and spice powders and mix well.

Add in the lady finger and mix well.

Serve.

heat oil in a pan, add mustard and urad dal
