    About this Recipe

Tomato sauce can refer to a variety of sauces made primarily of tomatoes that are typically served as part of a dish rather than as a condiment. Tomato sauces are commonly used with meat and vegetables, but they are perhaps best known as the foundation for sauces for Mexican salsas and Italian pasta dishes. Tomatoes have a
rich flavour, a high water content, soft flesh that easily breaks down, and the right composition to thicken into a sauce when stewed without the use of thickeners like roux or masa. All of these characteristics make them ideal for making simple and appealing sauces.

Marinara sauce is a type of tomato sauce that is commonly made with tomatoes, garlic, herbs, and onions. Capers, olives, spices, and a splash of wine are some of the variations. In Italy, it is known as alla marinara, and it is typically made with tomatoes, basil, and oregano, but it can also include olives, capers, and salted anchovies. It is
commonly used for spaghetti and vermicelli, but it can also be used with meat or fish.

I added some extra garlic in this because i like my pasta dish a bit garlicky but if you are a mild garlic eater then you can skip that as well. But never skip on the healthy amount of cream in this, because it is what makes this super creamy and delicious. But i have an excuse for all those health conscious people out there you can use half cream and half milk in this as well.

    Where is pasta from originally?

While some historians believe pasta originated in Italy, the majority believe Marco Polo brought it back from his epic journey to China. The first pasta was made from rice flour and was popular in the east. Pasta was traditionally made from hard wheat and shaped into long strands in Italy.

Ingredients for Pasta with Tomato Cream Sauce

    • Hunt's Diced Tomatoes with Basil, Garlic & Oregano - 1 can
    • Cream - 1 cup
    • Olive Oil - 1 tblspn
    • Garlic - 4 cloves chopped
    • Red Chilli Flakes - 1 tsp or to taste
    • Salt to taste
    • Sugar - 1 tblspn
    • Butter - 1 tblspn
    • Coriander leaves as needed
    • Any pasta as you like - 2 to 3 cups dry

    Tomatoes:
Tomato flavour is frequently described as sweet, tart, tangy, or well- balanced. Tomato flavour is also known as classic tomato flavour or old-fashioned tomato flavour in some cases. Some tomatoes are described as having a mild or bland flavour.

    Garlic :
Garlic has a distinct, pungent flavour that, when raw, borders on spicy and, when cooked, borders on nutty. Sulfur compounds, such as diallyl disulfide, contribute to the mustard-like flavour profile. It loses its acrid raw flavour when dried and crushed into garlic powder, making it ideal for seasoning dishes.

    Red Chilli flakes :
Dry red chilli flakes are a spice made from a mild red pepper in the Capsicum annum family. Depending on the variety of pepper and whether the hotter seeds and spongy tissue are included, the flavour ranges from sweet and mild to hot.
