    Purple Cabbage & Peas Stir Fry Recipe with step by step pictures. As this recipe purple cabbage with green peas, this is a wonderful combo to enjoy as side dish in main course. Its a very good idea to include purple cabbage in our diet on regular basis.

    Purple Cabbage & Peas Stir Fry

    This is a quick and easy poriyal which is made using purple cabbage. It is fast to make and needs just a handful of ingredients. Taste great with rasam or sambar rice or anything. This dish can be done in under 20 mins or so.

    Ingredients for Purple Cabbage & Peas Stir Fry

    • Oil - 1 tbsp
    • Mustard Seeds / Kaduku - 1 tsp
    • Cumin Seeds / Jeerakam - 1 tsp
    • Curry leaves a sprig
    • Asafoetida / Hing / Kaya podi a pinch
    • Onion - 1 large sliced thinly
    • Purple Cabbage - 4 cups shredded finely
    • Salt to taste
    • Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
    • Turmeric Powder - ½ tsp
    • Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
    • Peas - 1 cup frozen

    How to Make Purple Cabbage & Peas Stir Fry

    1. Heat oil in a pan, add in mustard, cumin, curry leaves and asafoetida.
    2. Add in onions and saute till golden.
    3. Add in cabbage and mix well. Add in salt and cook for 6 to 7 mins till it is done.
    4. Now add in spice powders and mix well. Add in peas and mix well
    5. Cook that for few mins.
    6. Now serve.

    Ingredients

    • 1 tbsp Oil

    Purple Cabbage & Peas Stir Fry Recipe Step by Step

    You need a purple cabbage
    cut it in half and admire the beauty
    i used my handy chopped to chop it very finely
    set aside
    Take all your ingredients
    Crackle mustard and cumin seeds in oil
    add in curry leaves
    asafoetida
    add in onions
    saute for a min
    Add in chopped cabbage
    add little salt
    cover and cook till cabbage is done
    now it is done
    add in spice powders
    mix well 
    add in peas
    mix well
