Spicy & Crispy Lamb Chops Recipe

Spicy Lamb Chops, this is a chef damu’s recipe, i found this in his cookbook and instantly loved it. It is not only easy to make, but taste so delicious..

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Marinating Time : 4 hours
Cooking Time : 30 to 35 mins
Serves : 3 to 4
 
Ingredients:
Lamb Chops or Boneless Mutton – 7 big chunks
Kashmiri Chilli Powder – 2 tblspn
Rice Flour / Arisi Mavu – 2 tblspn
Gram Flour / Besan / Kadalai Mavu – 2 tblspn
All Purpose Flour / Maida – 2 tblspn
Salt to taste
Garam Masala Powder – 2 tsp
Vinegar or Lemon Juice – 2 tblspn
Water as needed
Oil for frying
Method:
Place the meat between two sheet of plastic and bash it with a rolling pin till it is thinner.
Take all the ingredients except, meat and oil in a bowl and mix well to a smooth paste.
Now add in the meat and mix well. Leave this to marinate for 4 hours.
Heat oil in a frying pan, drop meat in oil and cook on low to medium heat for 15 mins. Flip over and cook for another 12 mins. Now flip over and increase the heat to high and cook for 2 mins till it gets crispy.
Remove to a plate and serve hot.

Take all your ingredients

 

You will need big chunks of lamb

 

look at those chunk of mutton

 

I lined a cling wrap and arranged the mutton over it

 

covered it with another sheet of plastic wrap

 

use a rolling pin or a hammer to flatten it out

 

now it is thinner so it cooks evenly

 

 

Take gram flour in a bowl

 

add in all purpose flour

 

add in rice flour

 

add in chilli powder

 

and some salt

 

pour in vinegar or lemon juice

 

and some water

 

add in garam masala powder

 

mix well

 

add in the lamb pieces

 

mix well

 

cover it and leave it to marinate for 4 hours

 

now it is time to fry

 

Heat some oil in  pan

 

drop the meat in..cook this on low to medium
heat for 15 mins

 

now the meat is half cooked
flip it over and cook for another 12 mins

 

flip over and cook for a final 2 mins on high heat so
everything gets crispier

 

remove it to a plate

    @Anonymoussince we have made the mutton thinner it will cook in a total of 30 mins, you will be flipping it and cook for 12 to 15 mins.
