Spicy Vegetable Stew Recipe – Sidedish for Idiyappam

Stew is a flavourful curry, which is a little runny but it is packed with flavours. Normally few vegetables are added into it to make it even more tasty.Stews are made differently each time, they are normally less spicy and white in colour. But i made it extra spicy by adding some spice powders

120 Vegetarian Sidedishes for Chapati, Roti, Pulao

Preparation Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 30 mins
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

Coconut Oil – 1 tblspn
Fennel Seeds / Saunf / Sombu – 1 tsp
Onion – 1 medium size chopped finely
Green Chilli -2  slit
Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tblspn
Tomato – 1 large chopped finely
Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp
Carrot – 1 large chopped finely
Beans – 10 chopped finely
Potato – 1 peeled and cubed
Frozen Peas – 1 cup
Coconut Milk – 2 cups
Water as needed
Salt to taste


Method:

Heat oil in a kadai, Add in fennel seeds and let them splatter.
Add in onions, green chillies and saute them for 5 mins or so.

Add in ginger garlic paste and saute for a min.

Add in tomatoes and cook till mushy.

Add in the spice powders and mix well.

Add in veggies and salt and mix well. Add in water and cook for 15 mins or so, till the veggies are done.

Add in coconut milk and mix well. Simmer for 5 mins or so.

Add in peas and mix well.

Serve.

add in garam masala powder and mix well
add in the veggies
mix well
add in salt
cover with water
now the veggies are done
add in coconut milk
mix well
add in peas
mix well and let it heat through

    But I don’t really like stew, I mean can you provide more detailed information to use chicken breast accordingly and yummy?
