Vanilla Buttercream Frosting Recipe

Yes I know this is a simple icing,but I have to post this because I am going to post a stunning cake that uses this one...

I will post that cake recipe later this week..So wait for it...

So I hope you like it and let me know if you have any doubts...


Unsalted Butter - 1 cup  softened
Icing Sugar / Confectioners Sugar - 3 cups sifted
Vanilla Essence - 1 tblspn
Milk - 2 tblspn


Beat butter with vanilla till it gets mixed in..

Add half of the sugar and beat well...Pour in 1 tblspn of milk and continue beating..

Now add other half of the sugar and beat add another tblspn of milk and beat well..

Continue to beat till it gets fluffy and shiny..

Frost your favorite cupcakes or cake with this..

Take all your humble ingrediants

Start beating you butter

add half of the icing sugar

add half of the milk

add the rest of the flour

and your milk

continue beating

Till it reaches a right consistency
Smooth and glossy

A simple icing yes, but very nice.
I assume that "icing sugar" is confectioners sugar. Don't be fooled, this is a great icing.

Aarthi, for how many days it stays good. Whether we have to do icing for cake on same day or it can be stored in fridge and can be used later. Please reply

@AnonymousI dont recommend storing it, you have to make it fresh. If you store it in fridge it will get hard.
