Life is going so slow and lonely ever since hubby went on a office trip to delhi, he will be back after a week. I don’t know how I am going to survive. Missing him so badly starting from the moment he left me. I am keeping myself busy all day and trying to concentrate my best in the work I do. I found myself that life is really really hard for me without him.
Ok off to today’s recipe..This is hubby’s favorite one, he always order this when we go to hotel prabhu, which is one of hubby’s favorite restaurant. Last Sunday he bought some quail and asked me to cook it for lunch. I have no clue how those look like, but once I saw those tiny thing, I decided to treat them like chickens because they looked like baby chickens. I marinated them in plain’ ol marinations and fried them. Actually They take less time to fry than chickens, the taste was so good.Everyone loved it a lot.
Specially my sister loved it, she came home from her college during that weekend. I made so many special dishes for her, which she requested (actually ordered ) on the phone to me (to my hubby really) before she came home. I hope you will love it too and tell me if you try it at home.
Quail / Kaada – 7
Oil for Deep Frying
Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tblspn
Curry leaves – 1 spring
Chilli powder – 2 tsp
Pepper powder – 2 tsp
Garam masala powder – 2 tsp
Turmeric powder / Manjal podi – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Lemon Juice – 2 tblspn
Rice Flour or Corn Starch – 3 tblspn
Take all the marination ingrediants except rice flour in a large bowl and mix well to a paste.
Now add in quail and apply the marination all over the quail.
Allow this to marinate for atleast 2 hours.
Now heat up oil for deep frying.
Sprinkle some rice flour or corn starch over the quail and mix well.
Drop quail in hot oil and fry till they turn golden brown and completely cooked through.This will take around 10 mins.
Now remove this from oil.
Serve this with raw onion rings and lemon wedge.

|Hubby got me these love looking quail bird|
|Take all the marination ingrediants in a bowl|
|and mix well|
|Rub this marination all over the quail|
|and let this marinate for 2 hours|
|Just before frying..Sprinkle some rice flour|
|and mix well|
|Now heat oil for deep frying..|
|Drop the marinated quail in and fry till golden brown|
|Remove and Serve|
